International Day of Prayer
May 5th, 2022We should and do pray daily but it’s also pretty amazing to have days/times to have a concerted focus on prayer, knowing that our fellow believers round the world are all praying at the same time. It’s also amazing to know that we serve a God that hears ALL the prayers of ALL His people, regardless of country, race, or denomination, and cares for each one of those prayers as if it’s the only one He hears!
As you pray today here is but a short list of ideas to pray for
Globally:
Pray for Christians around the world – those persecuted, and those living in areas of conflict, that they would not lose hope
Praise God for the ministries going on around the world, as the Church, the hands and feet of Christ, shows His love in some of the most desperate places
Nationally
Pray for our leaders, that somehow, someway they would seek the will of God
Pray for unity, as our country seems more and more divided it is more and more important for the Church to be united in and to Christ
Locally
Praise God for the rain!
Pray for the various ministries around the Basin, Child Evangelism (gearing up for Summer ministries) The Hope Pregnancy Center, the Gospel Mission and the over 60 other churches/ministries
Our Church
Pray for wisdom and God’s will as we seek a new Pastor
Pray for our coming summer ministries to our neighbors around the us, as well as those that live around the Grange
(we’re planning a BBQ/Fun day before church on June 26th, more on that later)
Each other, Pray for our church family, those who are there on Sunday, and those who are not.
By day the LORD commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. Psalms 42:8
